Looking for antivirus program...

I have been a long time user of AVG Pro, but I am looking to try something new on my new laptop. The reason being that when AVG scans, it really slows down my computer causing lagging performance during the 2 hour or so scan.

Is there anything out there that is not such a resource hog during scanning?

I initially went from NAV to AVG because of this, but now it seem AVG is really no better.

For Anti-Virus, So far I like Kaspersky the Best...

One thing I found is if you want to use Kaspersky use a removal tool to remove other Anti-virus software, Norton and others like to hide small bits in your sub-folders even after you use your add and removal from your Control Panel...

Anti Virus are the software programs which have reverse programming with that of virus creating program.It is necessary to update the software to protect the system from the attacks of unwanted virus .

If you are looking for best anti virus then in my opinion avast is the best anti virus software. You should go for it.

How can you say that Avast is one of the best antivirus.Best antivirus depend on your task ,because few file blocked by few antivirus and few are not.
