Anyone know of a "take ownership" hack for vB?

Hey Guys,

I'm working with a board that allows guest posters we have a recurring problem of members coming back, not logging in but still replying. Is there any hack that lets the admin change ownership of posts? I realize this can be done with a couple of changes in the posts table but I'm not to keen on that idea for fear of mucking up the entire table.

A hack like this would also be useful for vB's built in photo gallery if say a member doesn't know how to upload photos an admin could upload them and assign ownership to the member.

I realize Admin Log in as user may be helpful here however I'd rather not install that plus it still doesn't fix the unregistered users problem described above.

As for the post owner part, I can see that being sorta easy, couple 3 hours work to make a nice acp page maybe.

As to the albums, ah hem, I turn off the albums and use vBPicGallery.

Yeah, I like planting seeds. It's not a major concern though because I'd imagine not a lot of admins would bother using it. I was still wondering if there was something out there maybe even for the old 3.5 series that I could hack away at and bring up to snuff for 3.7.

As for vBPG, I stopped using it when 3.7 came out only because I wasn't sure when my license expired and with the down turn in the economy advertisers haven't been as easy to come by so I'm trying to trim expenses where ever I can. I still really liked vBPG and recommend it from time to time.
