I looked at the forum in question. There are no STB hidden fields in the html output which leads me to believe that the style being displayed did not get the template edits.

In fact, that is exactly the case. The edits were done on style id 2 only. Style ID 2 on the forum you linked me to works fine with STB.

Multiple styles require the edits for each style. Unless of course they are children and you let the edits cascade down.

you're right, I did the edits on the teal Christian skin. they added teal black after I was finished with their forum.

These are 2 newbs and don't know a whole lot about this stuff. I do everything for them... except install styles of course.

did the edits in that style and it's working fine.

Thanks Greg, I doubt I would have caught that. However, what are the odds that all of those other people have the exact same problem?

Glad to help. Thanks for bring it to my attention. I at least got the contents of the 1.2.2 zip to read correctly as a result.

It's always better this way. I wish more people would read the instructions and at least try and find out where to get help rather then posting, "it don't work".

Beginner burden

Hey guys.
Sorry if my question sounds a bit low to you, but how can you manage to check which bots have been visiting your board ?

I've found the spiders_vbulletin.xml file in includes/xml folder, but I'm not really sure this is relevant. Are there any ways to do that ?

Thanks.

I guess you would have to read the server logs looking for known user agents that bot nets might use. But that's not too reliable.

If you mean bots that have tried to register, the email of a failed bot attempt will tell you some things using the Stop the Registration Bots mod.
