How about just a vowel? :P Its a Mac OS X developers program helping you with all the coding and it debugs programs and runs a sim all for you.

Wow, nice. Never worked with a mac or the xcode dev environment.

Would this be running on OS X and essentially a linux dev app?

Sadly, its only Mac OS X because Apple is the maker of the app. It is a nice app I like and im currently learning how to program.

Do you make actual programs that run from the desktop like you would with say C++ but easier?

Yes that is what it does. It makes desktop apps for Mac OS X. Heres a link. (its mainly a package of a bunch of apps. Xcode helps with the code side)
