Thanks Danny, I will give it a shot man!!

Nintendo likes to make fun of me, but I teach him the ways of the forum circuit everyday because he is living in a fantasy world!

This is very important, as Noppid said, when your database gets too large the tool in the vb ACP will not function, so this is something that forum owners must learn.

Maybe we just need a practice account to learn on, until then just backup in the ACP until the file gets large or hire a pro like Noppid to set up a cron job to automatically back up and store the file remotely.

Ok, at least I know that Noppid can do it. I trusted my husband, he kept telling me that he backs up every sunday, well it was backed up on my host . I don't understand much about it.

If you have a small database go to your ACP, at the bottom and choose maintenance, then backup, then make sure all the files are checked, just check all, then back up to your PC, save your backups in a folder.

When the database gets too large, you will have to hire Noppid to help if you can't do it yourself by then!

If you don't want to lose any posts, every night, at least 3 times a week to be safe!

I check all, then it tells me to save it to a file on the server, and warns me that i should store it to a more secure location.
How do you back it to your PC ?

You are clicking on the wrong button, click on the one without the command line above the one you are clicking on!
