Adobe Acrobat 5 download

Hi there:
I am having a problem with Adobe Reader 9.1--can not update it--tried to uninstall it--but I get an ERROR 1402 Could not open key
HKEY___LOCAL__MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\C urrent Version\Run\Optional Componants\MSFS
So I uninstall Adobe Acrobat 5 and now I can not find a FREE ACROBAT to re-install--NOW WHAT???
I do not want to play aaround with the registry keys--as I know that--if I do not know what I am doing--I can create more of a problem!!
Can anyone help!!

I think I used this http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301 and CCleaner to fix a similar problem. Both are free.

Thankyou for your reply!!
I download the uninstaller from Microsoft and the CCleaner and neither one caught the ERROR--still can not add Acrobat or Reader to the computer--what now??

There are some tools for adobe registry cleaning and uninstaller repair. I think we used this one. http://ezinearticles.com/?Adobe-Read...all&id=1699375
