Admin Control Panel

Greetings, I am an admin for a forum. Recently, I wanted to delete one of the forum categories, something which I have never done. I went into the admin CP and found this:

I did not find any forum manager tab on the left, something that I knew had to exist for me to accomplish my task. I contacted my super-admin who refused to help me, saying things like I should either look harder or that I must have logged into the mod CP. Well from my screenshot, as far as I can tell, I am in the right place.

After more nagging, he finally replies to me that I should log off and login. I did so and magically everything appears. He claims to have not done anything. I am just curious if anyone might know if I did anything wrong (in order to avoid it in the future) or if my super-admin is just lying to me and he fixed the admin permissions.

Thanks to Greg in advance!

The main admin that is likely defined on the config.php needs to add more admin permissions for your user in your profile. It's on the first drop down menu under a user and is admin permissions IIRC.
