vBulletin PHP Function iif() Deprecated

It was discussed about the time of the vBulletin 3.5.x code announcements that the vBulletin PHP function iif() would be phased out. But it really didn't happen and some hackers continued to use it. In fact there are still 902 uses of it in the vBulletin 3.6 RC1 Source code .

It has been asked again, when will the vBulletin iff() function will be phased out, and the answer is that the iif() function is deprecated.

So folks, if you have coded a vBulletin hack using vBulletin's PHP function iif(), you need to explore other ways to pull it off such as the PHP ternary method.

If you use any vBulletin hacks and want to inform the hack creator of the impending changes, search your hack files for "iif(" without the quotes. If you find any, a note to the the creator could save you some waiting time for an update in the future.
