Is Anyone Using the vBulletin Blog Add On?

We dove right in a purchased a copy of the blog add on today. On our motorcycle site we think it will be a good match.

The install went really easy. It's an upload and then a product import from the vBulletin control panel.

Configuration was really easy. Check some vBulletin blog settings and then check some vBulletin user group settings.

We're requiring members to have 5 posts before they can post on a blog or start their own blog. We already had the promotion in place so we just took the blog rights away from the registered members group.

I don't think I spent 10 minutes with the purchase, download and install of this add on. It's well done. The price is fair when you consider that it's seamless and maintained by the same folks that make vBulletin itself.

We hope our members embrace it and look forward to the content.

Looking forward to learning more about how well this works out. Purchased a vblogitin licence some time ago but like many others, delayed installing it while waiting for their next release. Guess its time to take a closer look at vbulletin's blog product.

I got the blog. I really don't have the members to talk about it to much but it seem that the members I do have only use it instead of the forum itself..LOL.. The install was cake though. I would suggest for people to get it..

Just wondering how the blog did on a larger forum with active members. I have a copy myself, though it gets the occasional post, it doesnt get to many blog posts

Ours is slow too. But it's not very well marked in vBulletin. We added some things to attract attention, but it's not really catching on yet. It's just lost in the mix.

I think vblogetin rocks, and works great on boards under 3.7, I have it running flawlessly on a 3.6.8 board.... but over 3.7 there are script issues which I cannot fix because I have no knowledge, bummer because I'd like to use in on my 3.7.3 board.

Maybe I could give noppid the prog and he could look at it, I'm sure someone like him could figure it out... it appears to be a javascript error, when trying to use the drop downs on the blog pages only... and the editor javascript. It will just not parse the bb code on the blog pages due to the JS error.

Just let me know honey and I'll send it to you.

I'm using the vBulletin Blog. In fact I just installed 2.0 Beta 3. I'm not familiar with the vblogetin.
