Thanks to everyone that has been helping with the conversion of vBPicGallery from vB 3.x code to vBulletin 4.x code. So far we have been able to add many new features and many more optimizations resulting in a much more robust code base. What it means to you is less administration and a better experience for your members that use the vBPicGallery photo gallery for vBulletin on your forums.

So far for vBPicGallery release 40.0.0 RC6 we have fixed and improved the following functions.

Removed file vbpg_showthread_post_start.php
Removed plugin on hook showthread_post_start
Modified hook postbit_display_complete to use user table
 instead of datastore.
Removed hook showthread_postbit_create no longer needed.

Edited product file
dropped datastore routines
added new column to user table for postbit display.

edited vbpgedit.php
cached template vbpicgallery_headinclude in manage gallery.
removed 2 stat queries from manage gallery list loop.
modified datastore routines to user table entries.
 Removed function update_vbpg_userid_datastore()

edited vbpg_cache_templates.php
fixed condtion to cache vbpicgallery_forumnavtab template forum wide.
cached template vbpicgallery_memberbits on member.php view profile.

edited templates vbpicgallery_navtab and vbpicgallery_forumnavtab
 added gallery search form

Edited remove_vbpicgallery.php
 added drop datastore.
added drop user table additional vbpg field.

If we have missed anything you are aware of or have an idea to share, please post and let us know.

Win7 firewall question???

Hi Everyone, long time no see. Ok, it's time for me to ask a question.

I set up a VPN on an Untangle Server at home using OpenVPN, so I can access my files and printers from work.

My internal lan is on the subnet 192.168.12.0/24

Open VPN assigned the client PC a virtual address of 172.16.0.5

It connects just fine. Just like it's supposed to. I can ping the internal nic of the server and can even ping my wireless printer at my house. However, Windows 7 does not trust the 172.16.0.5 network trying to gain access to its shares.

If I turn the firewall off on the Windows 7 machines I can connect to their shared folders with no problem. However, I do not want to shut the firewalls off. I have too many PC's that I bring home and connect to my network.

What do I need to open up on the Win7 firewalls to allow my work pc access to my shares?

vBPicGallery 40.x Template and PHP Hooks

Ok folks, seems like it may be a good idea to add some template hook variables and some php hooks to populate them to vBPicGallery 40.x.

Using the vB system the expected header, footer and navbar ad hooks and such are available and used.

What additions could you benefit from in vBPicGallery to avoid having to customize a template for instance? What are some of the areas you might consider common in vBPicGallery that you modify and could benefit from a hook?

Thanks!
