I want to turn a computer with a 300g hard drive into a server and network 3-4 computers to the system; my goal will eventually be video streaming but that's gonna take me a little time cause I know nothing about it..
BUT, my question right now is this: We recently changed from cable to broadband/dsl and I have to decide whether or not to continue with dsl or return to cable for my internet access.....our phone lines are pretty bad and we've been having some connectivity problems because of that.....I didn't know I was going to do this when I first switched. I can't afford a super high speed at first but I'd like to see what the consensus is on both types of connections....
with our current service we're supposed to get 40gigs but it's never more than 28...I'll admit I don't exactly understand all of that.....
we never had connectivity problems with cable.....
oh, and it's really bad on our laptop......
so I'd really appreciate some advice
