yes, thank you!
stlhondas.com/forums/vbpicgallery.php?
OK< we have custom headers and that would break the shout box. I think this came up one time in the past. They either added shoutbox code to the vBPicGallery templates or turned the shoutbox off in the gallery.
The slideshow not working is likely due to needing to revert the vBPicGallery templates and/or upload the current JS code with overwrite enabled.

i tryed a few things, but they didnt work. im not even sure what i did was what you suggested. im not exactly well versed with vbulletin, if possible could you elaborate a little on what im exactly suppose to do?
thanks so much!
Sure, but I need to know who purchased the vBPicGallery license you are using on your forum since it appears you may not be the original owner.

tryed to send you a pm, dont know if it went through?
You need someone who knows vB enough to revert the vBPicGallery templates for each active style. That's the most common fix for these type issues.

all templates have been reverted and the problems still exist? i also have all of the original purchase and licensing information if you would like me to email it to you, it was repurchased on 27 Oct 2010, so should be current?
Yes, it should be current, but I'm guessing, I don't know what the guy before you did.
You have to check that the correct JS code was uploaded too. These are the only two problems that usually break the comments, old templates or old JS files. It's a common upgrade issue.

do you mean js files from vbulletin or the gallery js files, where are they located in the file structure?
I don't want to come off as a dick, but I really don't feel like teaching you how to work and fix the gallery when you don't have access to the most basic information to begin with.
You need the original installation zip and you will see where everything is located. I assume you don't have that, so you can't fix this even if I tell you the file system.
Get the zip or get the info to download the zip from the forum owner and you will see everything you need to know in the zip file.

i have full ftp access to the forums directory and the original gallery zip.
i did a search of the forums directory and it returned:
vbpicgallery_comments.js
vbpicgallery_editgallery.js
they are both located in the clientscript folder in the forums root, when i look in the the upload folder from vbpigallery 10.7.6 pl2 zip they are not there. i just noticed why they arent, they were blocked by mcafee all the js files have been replaced by txts (which is why i asked where the js files were, i never found any in the upload folder). the same is true for the folder on the sites server! the two files above are the only js files associated with the gallery on the server. this could mean the owners original zip file was compromised? if this is true, would it be possible to download the zip file, if i forwarded the original vbpicgallery receipt to you?
I bet you can rename the txt files to .js and fix them. I'm sure we can work something out.
