what if ya get this prompt - i'm helping a friend who knows less that i do, and is too lazy to read, dah anywho, she had norton 2000, uninstalled it, but didn't get it all. I burned her a copy of 2003 to install. She had 2 left over files from the old norton/loose files. We could not uninstall them. So we said, we'll attempt to install over them.

somehow, while trying to install the Antivirus, she installed norton internet security. go figure, so i said lets uninstall and start from stratch.

now she gets a prompt like this 'norton internet security account with supervisor access must be logged in to uninstall.

have found a couple of articles from Norton's online support, but they don't quite match the prompt.

Any ideas on how we can uninstall the rascal completely, including the old corrupted files. I'm figuring those 2 older files, which gave her a black screen, until she x's out of them on boot up, are the problem.

Thanks Just want to Learn, Its Fun:)

I would start by reinstalling it -then make sure it is not running when you try to uninstall it again.
