hey all..
I upgraded from 10.6.0 to 10.7.5 and now when you go to your gallery, click on edit, then change or add a description to your pictures either new or already existing..nothing happens.
I'm running VB 3.6.12
the upgrade went fine, no issues. Members can create and add photos, but when I just tried adding a description to a photo of my own it won't happen.
i tried searching for something similar, but came up short.
any ideas? my current client is mozilla..but I have not tried it with IE.
TIA
Sounds like the javascript files are not uploaded or the old JS is cached in your browser.

verified it doesn't work with IE as well.. script error popped up...very strange. the error code is "YAHOO is undefined" this error happens after clicking the SAVE button on the edit description part of the photo.
does this help?

I verified the js files are the same so they were uploaded.I did it again just to verify. as for the js being cached..I've removed and uninstalled both browsers, cleared all cache, and reinstalled both from scratch..nothing changed.
I noticed also when I upgraded to 10.7.5 that it did not remove the older version from the list..I had to mark it as disabled. I'm leery of uninstalling it for fear of it corrupting something with the new install.
You can safely remove the old duplicate product. Give that a try and then look and see about the templates. After the delete you may even try to reimport the product.
I'll be around a while and look for more posts.

thanks Greg..one question. I assume since the old one is disabled and the gallery is working that removing it shouldn't be an issue as you said..but I don't want the pictures to go anywhere of course. there's a lot of people on the forum right now and I'd rather do it later in the day..or I could just disable it right now.. I'll see what happens and report back.
thanks again

ok..I removed the old version that I had disabled. no issues.
I think imported the newer version again and selected overwrite..no issues.
tried to edit and save comments..still no dice.. should I re-upload the files again as well?

That wouldn't hurt. You did turn on comment and vbulletin options and enable them for each group?

yes I did..it all worked just fine before upgrading to the 10.7.5 version. I'd think if it was a permission issue I'd get a message stating that, but we'll see..
