getting attatchments

HAPPY THANKSGIVING Y'ALL!!!!!
When I get an email with an attatchment and I click on the paperclip,the title of the attatchment is in a grey print instead of black,,there for I cant open it! Why and what to do about it. I'ts with all emails,,not just from one particular person....

Go to tools | options | security and uncheck ... "Do not allow attachments to be saved or opened".
