Attention Style Creators

The templates that create the html output for the EZ NewsLetter can be customized without affecting the original templates. What that means is that you can create and sell custom template packs for the EZ NewsLetter and include EZ NewsLetter custom templates in your styles to add value to them.

We will release the original EZ NewsLetter template set code, conditionally upon request, to style makers in the vBulletin Community with permission to reuse any original template code from EZ NewsLetter in a custom template set or style specifically created for EZ NewsLetter by them.

One example is the shell for a vBPicGallery block. Each data block usually consists of a shell and bit template. The shell is the table and the bit is the data. Our original template is named 'eznl_vbpicgalleryshell'.

If you make a set of templates for EZ NewsLetter, your custom template could be called 'abcstyles_vbpicgalleryshell' and it should appear titled in the style manager as 'abcstyles_vbpicgalleryshell'.

The admin that buys your custom template set can then when sending an EZ NewsLetter set the template prefix to 'abcstyles' and the html emails will be sent with your custom templates that you created and sold.

There is a setting in the EZ NewsLetter configuration that sets the default template prefix to 'eznl'.

The possibilities are endless and with in line style css code, you can override any existing style. We're sure you will find these template additions easy to make and that they will add extra value to your styles.

Thanks for taking a look.

Great news Greg. I'm hoping Peggy finds this little gem... I'm sure she will. Have you released this at .org yet, or is only here for now? Guess I could go look for myself, huh?

That's a good idea. But I think I'll leave that up to the style people. They come to me for code, I go to them for graphics and such. So I'll keep doing code and they can do the styles. It's amazing I came up with one good template set, two is asking a lot from my imagination. :p

So do we get to create entire custom layouts with the newsletters or simply create new colors and image placements?

Either way, I can't wait for it to hit the downloads, I'll be picking up a copy and making some templates ;)

You can do anything you want with each data block. Colors, shapes, tables, bubbles. It's up to your imagination.
