some will like this film -others will hate it.I thought it was good.it did have its kinda slow parts, but all in all the story line was good.for most it will not end the way they thought it would -but it does end -at least for this group.it has a couple of prety good twists.I enjoyed it .If you hated the last one -you won't like this one any better.I would give it a C+ or a B-.
I agree.
It almost seemed liked they had too much to pack into a two hour movie. Much of the time was spent story-telling. There's about a half-hour where we don't even see Neo and Trinity. There are really two separate storylines going on at the same time -- the defense and salvation of Zion, and Neo's quest to fulfill the prophecy.
There are definitely some unexpected twists, but the action sequences seem sparse compared to movies 1 and 2. Aside from Neo's final confrontation with former-agent-turned-virus Smith, there weren't only but a couple short fights through the whole movie. Isn't that what the Matrix is all about!? I was hoping for more of the things that made the Matrix such an awesome action flick -- the slow-motion bullet effects, rotating camera angles, etc. Don't get me wrong, they're there, and they're still cool, but just not as plentiful as before.
Those of you looking for answers to the questions you had after hearing the Architect speak in "Reloaded" will not find them here. A few things are uncovered, but in the end you'll probably still be just as confused as before, if not more. That's both good and bad, I think. It opens the trilogy up to a number of interpretations: i.e., a matrix inside a matrix, Neo's human form really does have electomagnetic/telekinetic powers, etc. People will be talking/arguing about the Matrix trilogy for years to come.
I'd rate it higher, but only because I'm a big fan of the series. It's still got Keanu's bad acting littered throughout and some pretty cheesy catch phrases ("I believe in you, Neo!"). Ack. But, all in all, I was very entertained. One thumb up, and one to the side.
This morning on Regis and Kelly Keanu said that final fight scene cost $40 million alone to shoot. Maybe the grapics people got greedy thus the shortness. Oh yeah and last Matrix film.

I kinda liked the end ,even though it was not what I expected.
