I notice that this forum isn't allowing 'Spell Check'. If it isn't much trouble, could this be incorporated please?

Unfortunately I didn't get an answer to this very simple request. Makes it pretty difficult to keep up interest here.

Not getting a spell checker installed in less than 24 hours makes it difficult to keep up interest? Allrighty then.

There's no need to install a spell checker in vBulletin, because vBulletin users typically know how to spell, and we've found that when a vBulletin board has a spell checker the number of 16 year olds joining the board drastically increases.

Just kidding, seriously, there's no real need to invoke the overhead requirements of a spell checker module in vBulletin because vBulletin will integrate the built in spell checkers in IE and Firefox. Just enable the spell checker in your browser and be sure you're using the enhanced wysiwyg editor available for selection in your user cp and you'll have your spell checker.

You have to remember us Aussies can't spell as well as you septic tanks. And it wasn't 24 hours, it was 36.
OK, I have always had 'spell check' in my browser and it shows when I connect to other forums. But when I connect to this forum it vanishes. I assumed from this that it had to be triggered by the forum. I have looked at all options and there is no manual control for 'spell check' in my browser.
Whilst another 24 hours has gone by, I might as well mention that the 'edit facility' doesn't stay on posts either. Why isn't it a permanent setting?
And in another 24 hours, I am going to mention that I still can't get the 'signature' feature to work at the bottom of posts.
Other than that, everything is terrific.

I know that you are going to get a lot of relief out of this Big, but I was able to download 'ie spell' as an 'add on' in Internet Explorer. Curiously it has to be accessed with a click on tools and doesn't appear as a mini icon in the tool bar. In telling everyone this, I had to admit to everyone that I need this facility and that my eloquent diction is not because I am highly educated like you all first thought.

Although no one commented, I still stand by the statement that 'spell check' can and is triggered by codes in other forums as a feature.

Yeah, there are spell check hacks for vB, but there are better available as browser plug ins. So, I would have suggested that had I seen your post, sorry I missed it.

But now that you solved that, great. Don't mind big.

I use IEspell. Works good on every forum(including this one) that I have been to. Various CMS and forum software.

Google will show you the way! ;)
