Bigger Pic Size in the VB Gallery Main?

I just upgraded my forums to the lastest release. I love the feature of the rotating or random pictures, But, it seems it could be a bit bigger. Any insight on what needs to be done?

At what resolution are you running youir graphics? Too small to you may be too large to somebody on a system that only displays 800x600. What tradeoff are you willing to accept to have the images on your screen larger? Larger pictures statically coded are easy, but it's going to be annoying to a lot of people to have the pictures overflowing their screen.... and will be *really* annoying to your dialup members who have to wait for that extra fluff to load. Dynamically sized images based on the users screen resolution is easily doable also, but it takes minimum processor/operating system/browser capabilities that not all of your visitors may meet, and the dialup users suffer even more.

This is a good suggestion to modifications for the product, and something that may need to be put on the "wish list", but I'm not certain that the changes will be as quick or seamless as they seem at first glance.

I understand you point. That's a good point i've never thought about myself. In my personal opinion they seem just a tad to small. I little bigger (like the older version) would be sufficent for me.

The old way was a dynamic resize. I was not really big on it. I have some ideas, but I'm working on making it work right now before I enhance. I want more feedback first. So far so good, but I need to settle into the new vB versions.

You can raise the size of your thumbnails, but the existing ones would be small still and all the future thumbs would be bigger.

Maybe we need to use full size images there?

I made an adjustment to make my thunbnails @250 instrad of the default 100 and I get a weird problem. check the attached image. the Thumbnails are all messed up

Try this. In template vbpicgallery main, locate... new dropinslideshow(myimages, 150, 150, 3000);

Change the 150,150 to match the 250.
