Think they are called " Smart Tags".. They are Not called Balloon Tags.. I have them disabled..
Ran all my scans in F8..comes up clean all the way around.. Think it is a feature either within Xp or ie7..
Is there any way to disable it? been scrubbing since I posted..
Thanks Admin, I do appeciate the help..
I see what you mean. I don't use IE so it was not obvious. Let me take a look on my XP machine and see if anything can be done.

Thanks Admin,
Most " Power Users " out there would say Just use Firefox or another browser..Thing is I like ie7 and am very comfortable in using it..
Thanks again for the time in helping me..
At the top right of IE7 I have live search. If I click the magnifing glas next to it I get a menu and select change search defaults. All I have in my list is live search. Using live search I have nothing funky happening when I hover near the search input bar.
So, I'm thinking if you change your default back to live search, your popup may go away.
I use Firefox and IE. They both have their place in what I do. But for most, IE is a good choice on windows.

That is a google behavior, not an IE behavior. It is called google tips and if you go into preferences next to the search bar, you can select the language, but there is no turn off setting.

My steps:
>Open ie7 running on Win Xp system is perfect..
>Opens up to The Google Homepage..
>Take cursor and click within the search bar on the homepage, No Google bar installed..
" Pure search off the homepage of Google"
> I click one time inside of the Search bar.. and This tag shows up.. Flashing Google Search..
> Sometimes it can be a pain.. after a keyword has been entered in..to remove the keyword to change it.. sometimes it takes a few clicks just to be able to put the flashing bar inside the search bar to be able to act out the function desired..delete, copy and paste , etc..
Well why didn't you say so! :p
hehe, I had it all wrong there. I don't know what's up with that. In internet options, just change your home page and search page. You probably have some sort of advertising default home page. I have something similar on FF for Google.
That would be my first suggestion.

Home Page is http://www.Google.Com
If I take my cursor and place it on the right bottom side of tthe desktop, Running Xp a " Smart Tag " comes up and tells me what time it is...
If I take my cursor and place it on something that is open on the bottom of the desktop, a smart tag will tell me what it is..
Just was wondering if there was a way to disable..

No, there is no effective way to disable them. A lot of them are site specific, and then there are the XP specific ones. And then there are the office specific ones, and then there are the Yahoo specific ones. Do you see where I am going here. While you can stop some of them some of the time, you cannot stop all of them all of the time. You could install Linux, but then again, some flavors of Linux have them also.
This sounds like google desktop is installed to me.

A note to firefox users.
Don't know how much anybody's heard but:
Firefox 'Burns' Users with a Security Upgrade That Goes Bad
Some types of records shouldn't be broken, but Mozilla appears to be on the verge of breaking its personal best: the shortest time between updates of its Firefox web browser.
What happened? Mozilla's Firefox 2.0.0.10 update fixed a cross-site scripting threat that used the jar (Java archive) Uniform Resource Locator which, when combined with a bug in Google's Gmail, allowed users to access other users' email address books. Ouch!
Unfortunately, 2.0.0.10 wasn't quite ready for prime time: websites that use the 'Canvas' HTML element to dynamically render bitmaps stopped working, and the FoxSaver and Fotofox extensions also were torpedoed.
Firefox 2.0.0.11 Fixes Bugs, Now Available
Coming, Release Candidate Available Now
Mozilla Firefox version 2.0.0.11 fixes these bugs. To get the final release as fast as possible, check the Firefox download page, as automatic updating may take a day or two once an update is released. Update: Firefox 2.0.0.11 is now available via the Firefox download page. Be sure to check the version number. As of early Friday afternoon, 2.0.0.10 was still the latest version listed. If you don't want to wait for the official release of version 2.0.0.11, you can grab the release candidate from the Mozilla FTP site. Here's the direct link to the US English 32-bit Windows version.
Got Firefox? Got QuickTime? Get (Extra) Security Problems
If that wasn't enough, users of Firefox (and other browsers) that rely on Apple QuickTime 7.3 or earlier as their default multimedia player need to watch out for rogue websites. Symantec reports that an as-yet-unfixed RTSP vulnerability in QuickTime could open users to malicious content, and that Firefox is more vulnerable than Internet Explorer 6, IE7, or Apple's Safari browsers.
Don't Use Firefox? Don't Get Smug
If you use QuickTime, you can get into trouble with any browser, or if you click on a link in an email that directs you to a rogue site. To protect yourself, think before you click!
