Hello,
All of a sudden it seems my users cannot add any vehicles into their galleries. I have the usergroup permissions set to 8 galleries, and the users cannot add any, even if they have none or only one. Any ideas as to what might be going on?
Thanks
1) All of a sudden it seems my users cannot add any vehicles into their galleries.
Users cannot not add photos to existing galleries or cannot create new galleries.
2) I have the usergroup permissions set to 8 galleries.
1 and 2 are two different settings.

They are? Explain? I have the usergroup permissions set to 8 galleries because I thought that meant 8 galleries per user, in that usergroup.
That is correct. There is also a setting for how many pictures each gallery may have.

Right. What I don't understand is that it has been working fine up until now. I think all of the settings for this usergroup are set properly.
Maximum number of vBPicGalleries allowed for this group 8
Maximum number of images allowed in each of this groups vBPicGalleries 15
I think I am missing something. I've tried to change the values and have someone in that usergroup test it, but that did not work.
You can see the garage here: http://www.rspeed.org/forums/garage.html
I don't understand whats going on... :(
Viewing it won't help. I need a login that is in that usergroup.

Can you create a user on there and I will put you into that group?

I did some snooping also.. It seems the only occurrence of the maximum exceeded is in the vbpgedit.php file...
What is weird is even if I change the value of maximum galleries for the usergroup from 8 to 10000 it doesn't work. If I put that user in a different group that has permissions for the gallery, then it does work... It's weird :(
Setup an account for me in that usergroup that is broken and pm me the info. I will login when I can after I get the info and see what is up. I will also need an admin account to login to.

pm'd ya
OK, I setup some debug stuff. What is happening is that your usergroup permissions are not set correcly in $vBulletin. I can see the problem, however, that is causing it I can't see.
I set up the same grouping scenario here and cannot duplicate the problem. There must be a conflict with another hack or something.
The usergroup permissions for vbpg on your forum get set to registered user settings, zero. On this forum, vB sets the default to the highest of the possible settings.
So, the problem does not appear to be in the gallery, but perhaps a permissions caching problem or setting conflict. Many many folks use groups like this and this is the first reported problem.
You need to dump permissions as the code walks through global and init and see where it gets set the way it does and why. I can't duplicate the problem on this forum with the same setup.

Well Good News :D
I just upgraded to 10.0.4 and everything seems to be working again :)
Only issue is the scrollbars showing through the lightbox... Is there a way to remove the full size links on the right side?
Just edit them out of the template.

That's what I figured. Thanks again for all your help!
We try to do what we can in the templates rather than the code. But of course, there are template edits to deal with on upgrades. I'm no designer, so templates change.

Sorry to bring this back, but I'm having the same error again haha. I recently upgraded to 10.0.5. I'm gonna try to reinstall the xml, but I'm not sure if that will help
Make sure the JS and XML are replaced and that your browser is not caching them. Make sure yo revert all templates too.
