The text is always black. One of my themes has black background and you can't see the text at all. I am talking about "Enter a short desc..." and "Select a Photo File" text. Where can I change this?

The entire upload and submit process has been reworked for 10.0.5.

There is CSS in vbpgupload.php, at line 650, you can edit or add to it fix your issues if they continue after the 10.0.5 upgrade.
