powerpoint slideshow

Trying to create a simple slideshow in powerpoint (no sound text animation etc)Despite reading tutorials I'm having no success. Can someone please tell me in simple terms how to o this.Thanks

Wow, I don't really know myself. What's amusing is that my kids went to computer camp this summer and can make animated slide shows with sound in PowerPoint. Go figure.

A tutorial on here would be cumbersomely long. Just google for powerpoint tutorial and you will get loads of really great help. Barring that, get Powerpoint for Dummies.

if you don't get on with powerpoint, I think openoffice (http://www.openoffice.org)will have something to offer, I don't do office type stuff much myself, but I hear good reviews all the time.:)

I'm using open office on Vista. It has a few quarks with the printer driver, but it gets the job done. For the price, I'll stick with it.
