I picked up http://www.cflmri.com/ today. It's the initials for Central Florida Motorcycle Rider Info.

It seems like it may have some value else where too. The MRI industry is huge and the domains I saw were going for 10's of thousands of dollars in some cases. But some were lower, but not "good deals".

So anyway. I hope it works out for where I'm going with it.

Good for you, Noppid. I recently snatched a 9 letter coffee related .com I was very surprised to see available. I'm not exactly sure what I'm going to do with it, I'll just park it for now.

Awhile back, I almost snagged a portfolio of about 25 4 letter .coms but I was outbid by $5 :(

Where do you guys look for these .com domain names being available or for sale? I generally use GoDaddy and check out their 'auction' side of things. But, what are some other places to look?

I normally just 'luck' into them by searching for a domain and it being available. A guy I know from another forum publishes lists of 3 and 4 character domains and some phrase combinations that are still up for grabs here is his link: http://dailydomain.us/category/available-domains/

Other than that I'm guess people get their info at the domainer related forums

Thanks for the info Dan. :D

I used to be a part of an e-mail newsletter of someone sharing the most recent 'available' domains. But, he stopped and I haven't found a reliable source. Looks like this one and another I found from that site are decent.

3 letter domains and good 4 letter domains have been long gone! The last of the 3L domains fetched thousands upon thousands of dollars at auctions for a completely undeveloped, domain that took $10 and some foresight to register.

People are now starting to speculate on the 4L.com hoping they'll be worth something, but most are garbage like QZxT.com and crap, but who knows, maybe it'll be worth big bucks.

Makes me wish I could see into the future.
