This question is for administrator. I have a problem with database, I lost my forum while trying to rename it. I had 2 days of consultations from VB staff and hosting , and somebody accidentally deleted my databases. The only database was corrupted. I need professional help. I do not want to come back to consultations anymore, I want magic to happen and I want to pay.
What do I do, do I pay for website consultation ? Please tell me the steps.

Julia, the big question is whether or not you or your hosting company has backups of the database prior to the deletion. Without a backup, there's not much hope.

Hi Julia. If your database is gone and there is no backup, we may not be able to do much but get you back to the beginning.

But, a look at what went on and what is left could bring different news. Keep your fingers crossed. PM me your site info.

Thanks

Thanks for the reply. I will PM my private info.
I didn't do back ups because I didn't know how. I glad my site was just starting out, so I only lost 8 months of work.

I am here everyday on this website waiting for the administrator's reply and help since Friday. Please let me know if you will be able to help me with my problem. I already had 2 days of consultations with my host and vb staff, which destroyed my forum, that's why I decided to pay for someone professional help me fix it. If you are not able to help please be professional and tell me. I will find somebody else.

julia, I can understand your impatience, especially with the run-around that you've been given by your host and the vb staff.

However, when you contract out for help, you have to work within their time constraints, dear. He has other people that he was helping before you came, as well as a personal life.

Ok, please let me know when you can help me.

I can do it tonight in one hour. I prefer you be available to call or PM while I work though. It makes it easier on me to be sure you got what you wanted in one shot.

Thanks
