I have a partioned drive and i hate it!

Hey guys
I am wondering if someone can help me, a while ago i let a friend convince me to partion my hard drive when i reformatted and i have come to find i hate it. I am going to reformatt my computer again so whilst im doing that i want to get rid of the partion but im unsure of how to do it. Last time i tried i had the most scary experience of thinking i had wiped half of my drive...lol.. anyway i don't want to go back there so can anyone explain to me in simple laymens terms how i do this.

during the reinstall process, when you come to the part that asks where you wish to reinstall, delete all of the drives. Then you will be left with a single partition and you can continue with the install.
