There appears to sometimes be a loggin issue, looping you and stating that you are not logged in.

As I understand it ... go to Admin CP, click on vBulletin Options, and edit your Cookie Domain (listed under Cookies and HTTP Header Options).

Change that option to ".yoursite.com" (note the two dots!). Also make sure that your Cookie Path option is set to "/".

Once you change that, close all browser windows, clear your cookies again, and then try to log in/out again.

My question is... do I use the " " quotes marks and with "/". use the dot after the quote marks on this setting?

I don't want to lock myself out and what to make sure I do this correctly... so in other words I use the quote marks and all dots seen above, right?

Only use the text between the quotes.

OK I am going to try that right now... exactly as you stated above. I just got a pm from a member who said they have to login 3 or 4 times before the loggin box goes away and they are really logged in... go figure.

It's really cool watching you learn and have success. Glad to help.

Yes I am just learning....

I remember when I first got a computer... figuring out how to turn it in, then when I got that done, I was inside windows 95 looking around and I thought I was on the internet.

I was thinking, 'what a bunch of hype', 'I don't see web pages' I heard people talking about...lol

Yeah and then you got on the internet and probably had the same reaction? :p

NOOOOO... I call it the 'world in a box' at my fingertips.

I got on the net with dialup & AOL and quickly learned that was a big mistake.

Then I went to windows 98, ISDN, and got rid of aol.

Then I moved on to cable (15megs down) and 1meg up.... I have very fast broadband here, of course it costs me $85 per month for my house PC's, and 3 ip's.

When I'm home I hook my laptop to cable BUT when I'm on the road I use my Verizon wireless card which cost me $60 per month, but I need it due to my job..... the wireless card is dial up, so I love it when I hit on a wifi.

Sounds like you stay well connected. That ISDN musta been expensive!?

What's your job if you don't mind me asking?

Oops sorry I did not see your reply till now.

The 1st ISDN bill I got, almost had a heart attack. $400 and something... there was nothing else available at the time. I had to wait 6 months for cable and I am near Boston. (I rotate between MA & FL)

I'm a very busy PI. usually working in the north east states
