can't read forwarded email

I forwarded an email message from another system to this computer, now whem I try to pull up the message I can't just sets there, the message came in as an attachment.
I am operating on windows xp.

I need a bit more info: What email client are you using? More than likely you just have open the attachement. :)

Yes Danny boy,
You were correct, upon closer examination I discovered that the message had been scanned for viris's and I was required to click onto that portion of the message in order to be able to open it.
