View Full Version : vBadvanced CMPS
i just downloaded this the other day, i've only made websites from templates before so i know how to use some dreamweaver. just basic stuff really...a clan www.teammr.com uses vbadvanced and i like how it looks. i don't really know how to put it on my website tho, like do i have to have a forums and vbadvanced runs it through it or something? oh and when you select what kind like pHp, html, etc. i downloaded html.
CMPS makes a home page driven by your forums content and managed through the vB admin control panel.
I don't know what ya mean about the php-html thing to be honest. But if you get the latest version, you will likely be able to follow the instructions and get it installed.
If you get stuck, give us specific information of where and we will try and assist.

OK I have a question about this.
I would like to create a 'simple block' that I will put html writting in or a little picture of my choice.
I am confused about the creation of this block and hooking to it, so it shows on my cmps page. I have read the cmps instructions at vbadvanced, but i don't compute it.
What do I create 1st?, a tempate? what kind of template
Then what... I just can't seem to understand this.
Create a template adv_portal_templatename with the html you want to show. Then add a template module.
Template modules that use the shell look like.
<tr><td class="alt1" align="center">
<!-- your html here -->
<tr><td class="alt1" align="center">

heyyy guys
by mistake we removed from the portal the
Recent Threads & News Archive ,,, any info how we may get them back?
How did you remove them? The obvious answer is just enable those modules. But I suspect more may be necessary?
