hi all just got a 7800gtx512 have installed the latest drivers but when i run 3dmark05 am only getting a score of 7000 is this right i have a p4 3.4 cpu 1gig of ram a gigabyte duo pro motherboard

What you listed above is not enough to tell what is good or bad or average. There are alot of things to be considered....and with this forum being PC Help and not overclocking 101 I wont go into great detail.

Seems to me anyway...that 7k is an average rating for an out of the box system with no upgrading or overclocking done.

Drivers, higher speed RAM, different makers of the video card and mobo / other hardware will play an issue in the rankings as well.
