Have any of you tried www.mepis.com yet ?
I got the CD from their store for about 15 bucks, it boots from any Windows box using the CD drive so you can evaluate the OS without loading to hard drive!

I found it great, it even read a hard drive that Windows could no longer read, great value and fantastic way to learn more about Linux folks!
