Hi Noppid.
The VBPic gallery installer ran fine.
I modified the config file to FS settings and created a folder on my server (777).

I havent added the code for the navbar link as I run an Extreme Pixels Ambience Skin so I'll create an image and link it at the base of the header with the others.

I manually tried to enter the pic gallery (typed: forum/vbpicgallery.php) and received the following database error. Any thoughts? I havent dug into PHP myadmin yet but might take a look.

Database error in vBulletin 3.5.0:

Invalid SQL:
(SELECT count(*) as stats FROM vbpicgallery_comments)
UNION ALL (SELECT count(*) FROM vbpicgallery_users);

MySQL Error : You have an error in your SQL syntax near '(SELECT count(*) as stats FROM vbpicgallery_comments)
UNION ALL (SELECT co' at line 1
Error Number : 1064

I can't duplicate this error. I may need to get access to your install.

Thanks.....I'm online successfully.
I added the change log files for version5, ran the installer, and the gallery came straight up! Thanks :D

Hi Noppid.

The gallery is up and functioning at http://www.hemi6pack.com.forum/vbpicgallery.php I have uploaded images successfully and all the functions work......except one.

When I try to access the vBPicGallery CP I get a similar database error to the previous one. Possibly this is the same problem, but on a different page rather than the gallery home?

You must be running Rev 4. I put a fix Rev 5 for this and then we fixed the transparent watermark issue in Rev 6.

Rev 6 is in the download section.

Hi Noppid.
I only uploaded the files in the changelog. I'll download Rev6 and upload all the files.

Thanks,

Hi again.
I uploaded revision6 but no change, so I dropped the vBPicGallery tables, removed all files, and did a fresh install using Revision6.....but still the same problem.

When you released Rev5 it resolved the database error when entering the gallery. Previously I could only get the database error when I tried to enter the gallery. Now I have a fully functioning gallery but if I enter the vbPicGallery CP from either the gallery end or from the UserCP link in VBulletin I get a database error.

I "suspect" that the change you made to resolve the error in vbpicgallery.php needs to be applied to another file? I'm not sure how your set up.

Cheers,

Hi Noppid.

The gallery is doing something else thats a little wierd.

I have the images being stored in the FS mode. Because I dropped the tables the test gallery I had added was gone so I recreated it. When I upload images into this gallery it displayes images that were in the previous gallery (eg: the new image name appears with a pic from the now deleted gallery). I removed the images from the FS folder and tried again but same problem.

I then deleted the album in vBPicGallery and started all over again with totally different subject matter but same deal...its selecting random images, but always ones that were previously uploaded? I was thinking thsi only happened with revision6 but Iguess I only uplaoded 10 images and didnt remove / reinstate any before.

I'll need to look at your install. I just upgraded my motorcycle forum (http://www.riderinfo.com/forums/vbpicgallery.php) to vB 3.5 and vBPicGallery tonight and I'm toast, but we will get you going.

If your buggered I can wait. I havent gone live with the gallery yet so things arent too bad. I appreciate your patience.
If we need to talk MSN would be a good option testpig@bigpond.com

I logged in and see no images. Could what you were seeing have been cached?

Put me in a group I can use the gallery from and I'll try it out.

Apologies...the time difference is catching us out ;)

I removed the images in my gallery...shall upload some now (I'm at work so limited).

All functions seem fine except two. Trying to access the gallery CP, and after I removed the installation, reinstalled and uploaded images they had the right names but were images from the old instal (that had been deletd from the FS file). I removed the three database tables when I pulled the old install out and the files in the FS folder were deleted so I dont know where the images were stored? I did refresh (F5) but maybe they were cached? Not sure.

I'll upload something into the galler now for you to have a play with.

Cheers,

OK..this is a little strange. I leftthe install alone last night so it "should" be doing whatit did, however I just tried to upoad two images and the arent displaying as thumbs or enlarged images. Possibly this is part of the "diplaying the wrong image" problem,or something strange is going on.

Unfortunately I'm at work so cant do to much here other than the basic gallery functions.

We keep missing each other. I need to look at this via ftp.

No problems. I will be on at more reasonable hours tomorrow (Saturday here). I'll try to log in around 5 our time (which is when you posted the last post) but I'll probably be around before that as well.
