I was having trouble with my CD burner. For some reason, it would only burn roughly 80 mb at a time. When there was more data burned, it wouldn't work and the responses I kept getting were "invalid writestate" and "could not perform end track" in the middle of burning.
When my burner wasn't working, I believe for the first time the free space on my hard drive was as low as 400 mb (it was also the first time my burner wouldn't work.)
I recently got my computer to free up 1 Gigabyte of space and my burner was finally able to burn a whole CD(700 mb).
Is this a coincidence?-- and if it's not a coincidence-- how much free space do I need on my computer to burn a whole CD?
