issues with vbgarage

we are having problems installing vbgarage

i've followed the instructions by the word twice over n still cant get it to work

we are using vbulliten v3.0.9 abd trying to install vgarage 4.0.1 (i think - its the latest one)

can i get some simple instructions on what to do please

vBGarage 4.0.4a is posted at vbulletin.org.

I have made the installer rerunable so you don't get table exists error. BEWARE! installers are destructive and assume you are starting from scratch. Do not run an installer on an existing vBGarage.

yeh we are starting from scratch and to be totally honest - still learning the coding n how it all works so problems like this i havent got a clue

Download the new zip 4.0.4a and just run the install_vbgarage.php. You should be good to go now.

got it set up n working to an extent

havin difficulty making pictures work with it tho

it uploads not a bother or seems to, yet wont display the image

i've tried altering the system from database to file system and made no difference, is there anywhere that can enable or disable the use of pictures?

I'm not sure what your problem is. There can be many reasons why it don't work. Short of doing it for you, which I don't have time for, I need alot more info about your install.

We need to be sure all your ACP setting are correct. That GD is installed on your server. That your vbgconfig.php is correct. That your pics folder is in the correct place relative to what the vbgconfig.php says and that the folder permissions are set correct. There may be other things to check as well.

Why don't you just bite it, and switch to noppids vbpicgallery, which is great, supported and he will always help out and answer questions. noppid is reliable!!

i may do in the next month or two but at the moment money is tight and my forum is free for all its users i have just renewed VBlicense and the the funds just arnt there this side of christmas :(
