After I use the internet explorer for some time, there will be 6's that appear in the internet explorer toolbar(to the left of "print" and the the left of the address bar. Then my internet explorer will not display correctly. Also, though I don't mind this, I've noticed that the information at the bottom of internet explorer(opening www...) will start to have bold print when the problems occur. It only happens after I've been using the internet explorer for a while--if I restart my computer, the internet explorer will work fine--at least until I use it for a while again (maybe 30 minutes).
I've tried to get rid of this problem by using 3 anti-spyware programs (yahoo, mcaffee, spybot) and 1 anti-virus program (EZ)---none of these programs could fix my problem.
I don't want to continually restart my computer-- or worst yet, have a spyware program in my computer that can gain access to financial data (like credit card numbers).
What can I do to fix this problem?
Thanks in advance

Man, it never ceases to amaze me at the strange problems people have. I don't have a clue on this problem, but I have to ask:
Are your 6s that are appearing in your toolbar grouped in sets of 3 (666 666 666)? It could be that satan has taken over your box, your box is the anti-christ, and the apocolypse is upon us.
There have been times when I thought one of my boxes might be the anti-christ, but I don't think it ever started throwing 6s at me.
LOL, I couldn't resist. I'll do a bit of research and get back to you.

BigH20-- Yes, actually I believe there are three 6's. I also have a diodia picture toolbar on my internet explorer and I recall a 6 on that. It could very well be some sort of Satanic message.
Thanks for your concern

Actually I found several posts on the internet about this problem. You might want to start at http://dbforums.com/t724107.html and see if any of those suggestions help, or follow up with the folks in that forum to see if they ever figured out what was causing the problem.

Bigh20--The 6's on my toolbar just occured again. This time I counted them clearly and there turned out to be 4 originally and then 5th one was later added. (originally 2 on my diaodia picture toolbar, 1 on my address bar, and 1 on the standard buttons--another one later added to the standard buttons)
The 6's appear seperatly and so I'm a little more skeptical about it being a satanic message.
I don't believe the link you gave me shows the same problem as mine. His/her problem was he couldn't view his folder, and I can view my folder fine.
Do you have any other suggestions?
Thanks in advance

Well, all I can say is that a Copernic search revealed about 50 sites that had information related to your problem.
I can't really offer advice as to what to try because I'm not sitting in front of your box, but one of the pieces of information that keeps coming up is that you're getting too much information in the tool bar, and it's compressing itself down. One suggestion was that you delete unwanted information from the toolbar, and then lock it so that nothing else can be added.
I really don't know what your problem is, I'm only relaying information that I found from a quick search on the internet.
A Yahoo search slapped up over 1.6 million hits, but I'm always skeptical of Yahoo. I look at the top ten hits, and ignore the rest.
Try a Yahoo search and check the first ten, then a Google serch and check the first ten, then a Lycos search and check the first ten.
You'll figure this out with a little bit of perseverence.

Have you tried to repair Explorer within the computer itself? Depending on What Operating System you have would determine on where to go from here and if you have XP you might do a system restore to a point before this problem started.
