Hi, I've been having problem saving documents onto a CD-RW with Microsoft Office. Everytime I wanted to save on the CD Drive it will display "Incorrect function" then I press OK, then It will display "You do not have access to the folder D:| See your administrator for access to this folder"
Why is this happening and what can I do? Thank You.

Is the CDRW formatted and mounted before you attempt to write?

I was going to suggest that you save the documents to your harddrive and then burn them to your burner.

Thank You. I guess I am so out-dated. I thought saving on a CD is the same as saving on a floppy disk. Thanks for all the help, I really appreciated it.

You can save to a CD the same as a Floppy , just need the right software and as noppid said it has to be formatted and ready to write.

note....that if you just "save to cd drive "whatever your cd drive letter is".....your files will be saved as "read only".

You drive will have to be able to use DLA in order for the computer to actually see it as a drive and not a CD...which in turn lets you save the files to be modified directly from the cd in the future.

just a heads up for future reference if you find out that your files cannot be modified unless imported back to a directory on the hard drive first.

All this, of course, is assuming you're running Windows XP
