Put a known good CD in the Drive and see if you can run it . If yes then you probablly have a Bad CD to write to try a few more ... If not post back and we will try some other things

You mean like the cd for a game or something?

That works.

Wierd thing is; i have a pack of 100 of these burning-cd's, and ive used half of it before, but suddenly it doesn't recognise them anymore :S.

Had the same thing happen to me on a batch of Free CD's buy one batch for 8 bucks and get a 8 buck rebate bout 1/3 of em worked . Are the CD R/W or just plain jane? Could be a driver issue but I doubt it best thing to do is try em till ya get one it recognises or get some new ones ... if no go then you might reinstall CD Burn prog .

Since your Cd works and it says no CD in Burner when trying to write ,then ya prob. have a bunch of bad CD's. All else fails then you may need a NEW Burner. Let us know what happens.

Try reading one of the ones that show to be bad by loading it in the drive then find the Drive its in and Right Click on it and click on properties if it does not allow you to then its definately the CD but you could still have other issues ;just have to eliminate em one at a time .

I found this cd-rw that's a brand i know have good quality stuff, and it worked. So i guess, right now the problem was crappy cds, but i'm sure my whole pc is going to start diyng bit by bit any day now (it's 'bout 5 years old) so as soon as i can scrape together enough money i'm going to try to build a new one :D (that's gonna be fun, i have practically never seen the insides of a computer before :P ) i'll probably get some help from one of my very computer-building-skilled friends :) (again; stupid stupid cheap lo-quality cds!!). thanks again for help :D

Good deal ,thanks for posting back .You can use the junk ones for Coasters or tie em to your Tomatoe Vines to keep the birds off of them.
