HELP please

My file associations are all messed up.
i.e. when i double click on a zip archive it prints it instead of opening it. When i double click on a rar archive it tells me that i don't have any program to open it, when i have winrar and 7zip intalled. I tried to go to the programs and set the the associations back, but nothing changes.
Is there any way to restore this, like a program or something.

:D Right click on it and select open . use that till we figure what os you have and what you have done since it worked last , You come up with some DOOOOZies...lol :D

I'm using win xp and recently i've only installed windows washer and acdsee 7.0 powerpack

If all was working before those installs then try removing them with their own Removal prog . or use uninstall from Windows Control Panel >add Remove Programs.
