I'm sorry, tried to hold back but....perhaps your problem is sending a 6inch lizzard to do the job of a 12inch lizzard. Oops we are not in the pbc. (did I say that out loud?)

It's not the size of the pike, it's the fight to get it in. And the fun involved with getting it in. To shore. Or whatever.....;)

Well the pike had to be the most fun since I only had about 4 foot of line out when he hit. He was right on-top of the boat.
