tr.v. chaper·oned, chaper·on·ing, chaper·ones
To act as chaperon to or for. See Synonyms at accompany. :p

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[French, from chaperon, hood, from Old French, diminutive of chape, cape, head covering. See chape.]

chaper·onage (-rnj) n.
Word History: The chaperon at a high-school dance seems to have little relationship to what was first signified by the English word chaperon, “a hood for a hawk,” and not even that much to what the word later meant, “a woman who protects a young single woman.” The sense “hood for a hawk,” recorded in a Middle English text composed before 1400, reflects the original meaning of the Old French word chaperon, “hood, headgear.” In order to understand why our chaperon came to have the sense “protector,” we need to know that in French the verb chaperonner, meaning “to cover with a hood,” was derived from chaperon and that this verb subsequently developed the figurative sense “to protect.” Under the influence of the verb sense the French noun chaperon came to mean “escort,” a meaning that was borrowed into English, being found first in a work published in 1720. In its earlier use English chaperon referred to a person, commonly an older woman, who accompanied a young unmarried woman in public to protect her. The English verb chaperon, “to be a chaperon,” is first recorded in Jane Austen's Sense and Sensibility, begun in 1796 as a sketch called “Elinor and Marianne” and published as a novel in 1811 . Still LMAO

Hay there

My aunty as you know has my computer she just called and said she fix it, didn't need a reformat she said my virus protector and alcohol 120% program were fighting causing these issues and my virus protector was using 100% of my cpu fighting it. She said some virus protector hate certain programs and stuff so she had to delete both programs and once she did no more problems.

She ran a virus scan and everything cool so no bugs at all, odd it was that hay causing all the issues. She said I can pop my virus protector back on but not to use alcohol 120% again. I used it only cause I have the cue and bin file bloody movie and my Nero express would not do anything with it and was suggest to use alcohol 120% to use burn as a vcd but she going to give me the full Nero so I wont have that issue again.

She said alcohol 120% sets a virtual drive and maybe why the virus proctor was having issues.

Also my cd rom was unplug at the back must of been when I put the good floppy into my computer, I must of bump it causing it have no power so explains why I had no cd rom.

I am going to pick her up tomorrow and I get my computer back and can play Sims again and burn more stuff yeah!

Cheers :D
