My Comp wont let me play my new game!!!

know a Nvidia geforce4 420 MX is old, but i was wondering if it could run HOh Pacific Assault. The "EAsy Info" program that came with the program said i needed a new video driver, and so i downloaded an update from nvidia. Then when i tried to run the game it said that my card doesnt support directx 8.1.
But the problem is that on the "Easy info" program it has a Green OK check by my video card. And even after i updated my driver, it still said i needed an update. Wat is up!! plz help

Alright now this is wat happened after i use a driver cleaner from driverheaven.net .....

well it looks like its still not working. I just dont get it. I followed the Driver cleaner insctrions. And the message always appears after strating MOH pacific Assualt: "Your card does not fully support directx8.1." It even gives a list of video cards that directx8.1 has been tested on.....and my card is on the list. WHAT CAN I DO BESIDES GETTING A NEW CARD!!! UUGHH i have a dell comp......just throwin that tidbit of info out there....

Maybe try reinstalling your drivers. Can you play MoH PA w/ a lower version of Direct X?

The problem with the geforce MX card is they are way too stripped down. They don't have vertex shaders. I believe your gonna need a slightly different video card. Can you start the game at all?

I dont think that card is gonna work for you. I dont know what the price of the game in question is...I just play Unreal Tournament.

But IF its worth playing at all. It should be worth going out and plopping out 50-75 bucks for a good video card that will play it. I havent checked the price of the TI-4200 cards lately....but I am sure they are WELL under 100 bucks....and a card that will play just about any game out today...even though its technology is a couple years old now.
