There are a few different ways you could go about getting your website on search engines. One option is to pay a monthly fee which will submit your website to many different search engines. Another is to manually submit your site using specific search engines submitting capabilities. The last and most simple way to do this is to put meta tags on your site.
I used meta tags on a basic site I made a year ago and now it's number one on google.

Meta tags will not get you indexed any quicker, you still need to submit the site to the search engines in order to get indexed, and they will do so on their own schedule. You can use meta tags to try and get a better ranking, bun not all search engines index the meta keywords, as they are often abused.
Submit your site to as many directories of websites as possible. When you do this, a lot of the directories will allow you to pick a "title" for your website. Pick something for your title you want google to find your website for.
Make your title meta tag what you want google to find your site as well.
Do not waste your money paying somebody to submit your site to search engines. They will find your site soon enough, if you get links pointing to your site.
When you understand what you need to do...to make your site found by search engines and rank well with them...it is extremely easy. But it takes some time to figure out the process and even more for it to "happen" with search engines.
The best thing to do is to make sure you have proper copy on your site.
I'm sure it's listed in Google. Try searching google for your domain name.
Meta tags aren't all that sueful to the bigger search engines as they now tend to spider your content more than anything else. Take a look at some of the SEO discussions and you'll see what I mean.
Be careful about submitting your site to any and every list and/or directory out there. Sometimes if one of those directories get blacklisted from the search engines, YOUR site may be "classified" with that directory and it too will get blacklisted.
Do a little reading in the seo forums and take a look at some of the techniques.
