For some networking, i have to do, Can someone help me, I need to know which are the three methods used to modulate analogue signals to represent binary data and any advantages or disadvantages for each, and does anyone know the reason why broadband has become or is becoming increasingly more important than baseband, thanks guys, fully appreciated

Yus I can not answer this but can post a link for you from google that answers all your q's and more learning quite a bit myself...

I find that link you have given me very hard to understand its all big sized and stuff or is it an incorect link? Have you understood it yourself? if so you think you could explain it for me, i finding it quite hard :\

Well that link answers all your Q's except the one about the Broadband vs baseband issue . I can not add any more or write you a paper on this but maybe someone else will understand your needs better than I .Sorry if the link does not do you any good and yep I have learned a lot from this.

The 3 methods are:
Frequency
Amplitude
Phase

Frequency is measured in cycles per second.

Amplitude modulation you change the height of the sine wave analogous to changing the frequency of the sine wave.

The phase of a sine wave at a certain instant of time is when you stop sending the original wave and start sending a new wave of the same frequency and amplitude. The more possible phase shifts, the more bits a single shift in phase can represent.

You can use your own deductive reasoning as to the benefits/fallbacks of each. But the end result as far as why more people are using broadband over baseband is a no brainer....MORE THROUGHPUT!!!!!!!!
